This is an excellent way to use my web-page. As a blog. You can post your comments and this way get advertising space here for free. How good is that?

Juan Vernado Island is only a 10 minute walk down the beach from Playa Roca. Wildlife tours through the winding river allows for viewing crocodiles, herons, sea turtles, iguana’s, etc. This is a protected wildlife preserve. Nesting sea turtles come to the same spot every year to lay their eggs. These turtle eggs are a delicacy for locals and must be protected from poachers if they are to continue breeding here. Turtle tours are very popular during the nesting season. Guided tours offers up front witnessing of these sea creatures coming ashore to duplicate themselves. Seeing the releasing of thousands of baby turtles trying to find their way “back” to the ocean, with the waves denying their feeble efforts to “get in”! It takes awhile, but instincts usually win out and they are ocean bound.
Fishing tours, with world class fishing available (there are no commercial or chartered fleets here yet!) at 50% off normal commercial fishing “charters”. They begin only minutes from Playa Roca. Most Big game fish have never seen a hook or the rumble of multitudes of fishing vessels. Marlin, Sail Fish, Dorado, Tuna, Ahi, etc. are abundant.
Also available are horseback riding on the beach or the rolling hills, hiking, bicycling and miles of beach combing/sea shell hunting sea shore, skiing down volcanoes, taking tours of world famous Flora de Cana’s rum factory, coffee, cigar plantations, shrimp farms and rain forests. Playa Roca is the “base camp” for many adventurers/tourists that want to explore the most diverse region in Nicaragua; Northern Nicaragua. Day and overnight tours originate from the tranquil atmosphere here at Playa Roca, the jewel of northern Nicaragua.
Day tours to the colonial city of Leon are a must. The oldest Cathedral in Central America (c. 1572) is located in the center of Leon. Leon’s history is a walk through the history of Nicaragua. The city has nearly 20 churches, multiple museums, home of the literary “father of Nicaraguan Literature” poet, Ruben Dario, and many historical buildings dating back to when Leon was the Capital of Nicaragua.
